MY FAVORITE MAKEUP PRODUCTS

I’m going through step by step of my favorite makeup products. These are my everyday go-to products. I’m either wearing full glam or no makeup at all. I like my makeup to last all day, especially for shoot days. Keep in mind everyone has different preferences, and these are the products that work best for me, my skin, and my lifestyle.

PRIMER: HOURGLASS VEIL MINERAL PRIMER

This primer is unlike any other I have tried. I never liked primers in the past but once I found this one and saw how well it worked with my double wear foundation I was hooked. My biggest skin concern is texture. This primer blurs wrinkle, pores, and even reduces redness. Its great if you have acne prone skin, or post acne scars and redness. The veil mineral primer provides SPF 15, keeps makeup looking fresh all day.

FOUNDATION: ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR STAY IN PLACE FOUNDATION

This is the one product I can’t live without. For the rest of my life I will be using Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. They offer over 50 shades, cool neutral and warm tone, its oil free and works for all skin types. It’s a true full coverage. If you prefer less coverage I recommend putting it on in thin layers, thinning it out with moisturizer, or try the double wear nude foundation. I recommend buying the pump, sold separately so you don’t over apply when pouring the product out of the bottle, which could cause it to look cakey.

SHADES: 3W1 AND 4W3 ( I MIX THEM IF IM TAN TO MATCH CURRENT SKIN TONE)

CONCEALER: NARS RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER / ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR STAY IN PLACE FLAWLESS WEAR CONCEALER

Currently I switch back and forth between these two. I like them equally, but I would also like to try the Nars matte concealer that comes in a pot. The Nars is medium-full coverage and buildable. Good for under eyes, contour, highlights, and concealing imperfections. The Estee Lauder is more of a liquid and lightweight. I do have to set the EL with translucent powder.

SHADES: CUSTARD / WARM LIGHT MEDIUM

SETTING POWDER: HOURGLASS VEIL TRANSLUCENT SETTING POWDER

I don’t use a lot of setting powder on my face. I’m not someone who likes “baking”. For me it can make my skin look too dry. This powder is very thin and finely milled. I put a very thin layer on my under eye concealer and wipe it away almost immediately. Then I use it to carve out my bronzer with a damp flat sided sponge to give more of a clean line. This powder Is Talc-Free.

BLUSH: MAC POWDER BLUSH

Simple buildable matte blush.

SHADES: MELBA / PEACHES

BRONZER: BRONZE GODDESS POWDER

This bronzer gives you the perfect summer glow all year long.It is very warm toned almost reddish tone, but not orange. It goes on so smooth and luxurious, it’s even described on the website as a “super-luxurious powder bronzer”. In the pan it appears a little glittery but there is no glitter, it shows up completely matte. Its oil free and shine free but radiant at the same time.  The product itself is HUGE. I think I used my last one for an entire year. So Its really generous product for the price. I really like the tortoise packaging too.

SHADE: Medium

SETTING SPRAY: MAC FIX +

EYESHADOW: ANASTASIA SINGLE EYESHADOW, MAC SINGLE EYESHADOW, NARS DUO EYESHADOW

I know most people are using eyeshadow palettes these days but I never see palettes that I would use all of the shades. I was shopping in Sephora one day and saw that Anastasia BH had a create your own eyeshadow quad. You pick 4 colors and they have the empty palette there for you. You also get a bit of a discount on the single pan shadows by putting them into a quad. I’ve been using it every day, along with a few favorites from mac. For shimmers, or lid colors I always use the Nars duo. The shimmer shades from Nars are so amazing and go on so smooth.

SHADES: ABH (BURNT ORANGE, SIENNA, BRICK, AMBER) MAC (SOFT BROWN, BROWN SCRIPT, SWISS CHOCOLATE)  NARS (ALHAMBRA, ISOLDE)

EYELINER: MAC EYE KOHL

SHADE: TEDDY

LIPLINER & LIPSTICK: MAC STRIPDOWN & TOM FORD SABLE SMOKE

My GO-TO lip combo. I was on the endless hunt for the PERFECT NUDE, Im sure most makeup users can relate. It can be so hard to find the perfect shade. I finally found this combination and now I wear it Every. Single. Day. Mac Stripdown lipliner with Tom Ford Sable Smoke lipstick.
